Just back from my vacation part 2. Headed back to the West coast, spending time in Vancouver and Victoria. It felt great to reconnect with friends and get reacquainted with a place where I lived for almost 20 years. I had easy access to wild salmon, so I ate it whenever I could. I also swam almost every day, almost. I had the pleasure of seeing the Vancouver Whitecaps play a friendly against Premier League "overspenders" Manchester City. A thrill. When I lived in Vancouver I would regularly be among the couple thousand in the crowd at Swangaurd to watch the 86ers and then Whitecaps so to see where they are at now is thrilling. I took pics on my iphone which I will post later. Ferry ride to Victoria to see where Jen is living and an overnight bike ride on the Galloping Goose trail an old rail line that is now a path that runs from downtown Victoria to Sooke Pot Holes Provincial park. About a 55 km ride. So fun despite sore knees and blown tires tires. I yearn to back in BC. Here's some photos.

Here are some more photos from my vacation in St.Louis, Missouri. Me and my host Craig Thompson at Busch Stadium to watch the Jays sweep the hometown Cards. Yowza!
A mandatory, beat the oppressive heat, pool party initiated by Mya, Eva the Diva and the neighbours daughter. I fell in the pool. I blame the humidity and my unfamiliarity with Craig's brew of choice, Bud Select.

A UNESCO World Heritage site just outside of St. Louis, The Cahokia Mounds. You can see the city from the top of the biggest man made "mound".

Their primitive calender which has been named appropriately "Wood Henge". Located in the field space to the right in the "view" photo.

The super cool Gateway Arch. Every city should have some artistic grandeur like this. I've seen it a few times before and I love it more every time I see it.

Craig teeing off at the Gary Player designed Tapawingo. Good times.

Took a little vacation to visit my old friend in St. Louis, Missouri last week. One of the highlights was catching one of my favorite teams play a couple in one of the best ball parks MLB has to offer (there's so many now) Thanks to my "Budweiser Select" enhanced mental energy the Jays won both games. Sunday featured Jays ace Rickey Romero chuckin' a 4 hit complete game with his first major league hit thrown in for good measure. Rickey will remember this one for ever. It had been years since I had attended a game and I had blast. Pictures of Busch Stadium and the end of the game. Rickey getting love from his mates.
