Damn! I think of my own stupid reasons why the Oil couldn't finish the task against the 'canes last night. I missed the beginning of the game. Brent wore the same old oilers tshirt he was wearing when we watched game 4 together. The 'canes having the last line change at home was enough of an edge to win the game in such an evenly matched series. Bummer. What a run. I love the Oilers they still brought me plenty of joy this spring.

I can't believe it, the Oil in game 7 of the Stanley Cup final. The momentum is clearly with the Oil but the history and stats are against them. I just saw Cam Ward being interviewed on Sportsnet, he seems nervous. I feel nervous and anxcious and I'm not even playing. This is the game of the decade for Oiler fans. The thought of Ryan Smyth winning a Stanley Cup with the Oilers is a great thing. Fernado Pisani, losing Roli, Pronger and Peca saving thier best for the playoffs....this is a truly incredible run for MY team who were 35/1 odds to win the cup. Win or lose they make me feel so proud. I can't wait for 5 pm. God speed Oilers!
