I'm a fan of sports. My favorites being hockey, soccer & baseball. I watch when ever I can, really. Since moving to the Eastern time zone it's been really difficult to watch any NHL hockey. Most games start at 7 pm and I go to bed at 8 pm. It's too bad because this is a great time of year to watch the NHL. Regular season is almost over and many teams are trying desperately to make or secure playoff spots. I feel like I'm missing out. Fortunately for me Champions League games are broadcast at the "perfect for Marc" time of 2:30 pm. This is perfect.
Champs this past week was in quarter final round with 8 teams remaining. I was able to see Barcelona and the man everyone is saying is the best footballer on the planet right now, Lionel Messi destroy a weakened Arsenal and also the clash of two French powerhouses, Lyon & Bourdeaux. Lyon proved that they are more of a powerhouse than Bordeaux. Great football although the amount of diving going on in the French game was shocking and dissipointing. I would have rather watched my team Man United play Bayern Munchen but sometimes you just eat what you're served and United shockingly lost anyway. Champions League football is like pizza. It's always good. Some pizza is better than others, but it's still pizza. I think I want Lyon to win but that's a tall order and... Vernon Wells of the Jays is on pace for 215.9 home runs this year. Wicked.
