I started my hockey season last Friday. I play for the red team in a seven team league. There are 18 games on the shedule. It's a good group of guys and the emphasis is on fun. The games are aproximately an hour and a half with a break in the middle to clean the ice, something that is pretty much unheard for rec hockey where I'm from.

Really cool, old style arena here in Smithers also. I'll take some photos so everyone can see how charming it is.

I got a ride to the rink from Joe. He's been playing in this league for 28 years! Amazing.

Here's a picture of my jersey. All "my" numbers were taken when I got to the rink. I grabbed #13, put on my gear and then realized I couldn't wear that number, for whatever reason. I took #4. As worn by Bobby Orr, Vincent Lecavalier & Paul Forgues.

Just a couple pictures from Smithers.

The farm equipment is on the Telkwa High Road.

My on air shift starts with a news cast right at 6am.

I almost always hit it and then go outside to do a quick stretch and "feel" the weather because I read the weather right after the news cast.

Sometimes it looks pretty good.
