Well it's been almost a month since my last update, so let me update. Me and my lovely significant other, Jen went to the Gorge in George, Washington to check out the Sasquatch Festival. Every top of the line "alternative band was on the bill with bit of a Canadian flavor to make it, well slightly Canadian flavored. Maple I guess. We arrived at around 7 pm and set up our tent & tarp on a barren field that continued to fill up with other Sasquatchers all weekend.

As you can see from the pictures I have posted the Gorge is naturally beautiful. An incredible place to build a love music venue. Friday night we only managed to catch Bauhaus & Nine Inch Nails. Bauhaus was very cool and Nine Inch was like watching a broadway musical. Tons of production & great sound. Oh yeh you could buy a 24 oz. beer for $8.75, wicked. wicked like what an evil way to gouge people. In fact that would be a good alternate name for the Gorge. The Gouge. Anyway we walked back to our campsite and slept. The night was full of rain and people screaming eooooowwooh. The rain actually helped cool the loud peolples jets. Thanx mother nature.

Woke up Saturday and it was sunny and warm. We ate breakfast and I drank a Bud Select and we met a few of our neighbors. A guy from Victoria who was all about Nine Inch Nails and a guy from Seattle who goes to Burning Man all the time. He was nice. He just walked up to us and said, beer, and started talking. After a while we headed to the venue and found out that you couldn't leave once you got in, lame. so we went back to our spot and packed for the day. Got back to the venue and saw Steve Malkamus, Stufjan Stevens, Iron & Wine. After that we headed over to see the Constantines. During thier set it started to hale really big & hard. It was insane watching them ply on as the crowd scrambled for cover. As luck would have it the Rockstar Energy Drink Lounge was showing game 6 of the Oilers/Ducksc series. Amazing. I watched with tons of drunk Canadians. We chanted things like Ro-li Ro-li, here we go Oilers & my favorite, fuck you Teemu. After the game I went and caught up with Jen for the end of the Shins (her fave band) waited in line half an hour for a kebab watched Ben Harper and then, exhausted, headed back to camp.

Woke up Sunday and decided to leave camp, park, watch some more bands and find some camping on the way back to Van. Saw Blue Prophets, Pretty Girls Make Graves, Chad Van Gallen, Nada Surf & Arctic Monkeys. Found a nice camp ground on the way back and celebrated Jens B-Day by showering for the first time in 3 days, eating instant mashed potatoes, tofurkey dogs & Udon soup with Brocoli. It all seemed really delicious. Oh yah we also had Jens favorite B-Day thing Lemon Merangue pie. All washed down with delicious and nutricious Bud select. Great weekend. Wish you were there, really.

This is very long for an update so I'm going to stop and go see the best band in the world Married To Music @ the Lampligter. To bad they don't sell Bud select. Oh yah the Oilers! is that amazing or what! WOOOOOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEOWWWOWOOOOOW.
