Took my first trip on Thunder Bay transit yesterday and learned alot about what, or what not to do with it. The driver told me the bus I was on would take me right to where I wanted to go, The Fort Williams Gardens. What he didn't tell me was that it was a bit of a "milk run". It took forever to get there. I should have trusted my own instincts and transferred when I thought I should have. Maybe the driver just liked hanging out with me. Anyway I got there a little late and watched St.Marys play Manitoba. This game was part of the Canadian University Men's hockey finals tournament taking place here this weekend. The tournament is called the Cavendish Cup because of the corporate sponsorship of Cavendish Farms. St. Marys won the game pretty easily. The final takes place Sunday. Between periods checked out the old NHL sweaters and hardware they had on display. Pretty cool. Left and looked at some guitars and phones on the way home settled in at home for dinner, hockey and more unpacking. Hope you had a great Saturday.

Almost exactly one month from my last post my life has changed in a major way. Since my last post I was offered and accepted a job in Thunder Bay Ontario. It's been a whirl wind. Packing everything to move, stopping in Vancouver briefly to visit friends and family, watch Team Canada win hockey gold with my old hockey team The Bombers, fly to T Bay, start the new job, live in a hotel for a few weeks, find a place to live, sort of get unpacked and finally slowly get acclimated to life in Northern Ontario. My first day at work I got to interview local Haley Irwin of the worlds greatest womens hockey team, Team Canada. While in Vancouver I accidentally got to see Bobby Lou show off his gold after the game at Molson House. Two golds, pretty sweet. I think it might take weeks to unpack. Call me if you're ever on the Lakehead. More to come...
