Hockey Canada made an interesting decision this week announcing that Canadas' World Junior hockey team will wear a green jersey for 2 games during the World Junior Hockey Tournament instead of the traditional red or black. The tournament will be taking place in Regina and Saskatoon this January 2010.
The reaction by fans on the TSN website has been almost completely negative verging on hostile.
The funny thing is that Hockey Canada chose to wear the colour as tribute to the provinces pro football team, The Saskatchewan Roughriders.
It's kind of funny but I like it like the decision. Why not? They look great.
If Canada does lose the 2 games when they wear them, which I'm willing to bet right now they don't, everyone will blame the colour. Go green!

Growing up, my family used to have, literally buckets and buckets of LEGO and we used it all the time. Now that I'm older I never connect with the ole Danish interlockers. Back in the day, you were only as limited as your imagination when doing LEGO. I never imagined making the friggin' Taj Mahal. Kids have easy these days. In terms of LEGO anyway. This is a kit.

Pick your poison. I was able to tear through these non local coffee's thanks to people in Smithers who appreciate great coffee roasting and others returning from Vancouver who know how much I love JJ Bean. Beautiful rebrand on their product. The kind of thing I hate to throw away but you don't just keep a coffee bag because some one made it look nice. Or do you?
Completely unrelated, I need a new camera.

I traveled to Burns Lake yesterday to do play by play for our stations broadcast of the Burns Lake Braves/Omineca Ice game. Going into the broadcast I was concerned about my performance because I hadn't called a game since I was attending BCIT. So it had been about 3 years.
I went in with the attitude that I can only do the best I can and that served me well. Burns Lake beat Omineca 5-1.
Here's a picture form the drive back home. This is a golden time of year in the Bulkley Valley.
I hope you're enjoying your weekend.
Happy Thanksgiving.

I thought these were cool and it's no wonder. They look like Larabars.

Larabars are great. They taste good and I recognize every ingredient.
