The amount of waste created by disposable coffee cup's is significant. I admit it's not always convenient, but if all coffee drinker's used their own mug it would make an impact on the amount of paper and energy used, just so we can enjoy a cup of our favorite beverage.

I've made a decision to try to live in as positive a manner as I can. I think that the one way I can help our planet is to try and affect the attitudes of those around me. Even if it's a simple thing, like using a travel mug instead of a disposable cup.

Me and my lady started looking for new travel mugs and this is what I ended up buying. It's a little more expensive than other mugs but It's worth it. First of all it looks great. Second it has a metal liner. I found that travel mugs with plastic liners affect the taste of hot liquids that they're holding. There is a version of this mug made of plastic. Thirdly the button on top that opens and closes the drinking hole seals tightly so I can add my cream and sugar, close it, and shake to mix. No stir stick. To me this is the excalibur of travel mugs. It's made by OXO who make alot of really cool kitchen tools. I bought it at Ming Wo on Granville st. Mmmmm coffee.
